McIlwain Mobility Solutions is a great company to do business with! Chris, one of the owners of McIlwain Mobility Solutions, has been a great resource for our mobility devices and accessibility needs. He is honest and very knowledgeable. We have spoken to him many times when we needed advice for which mobility device would be best for my wife to use. We used McIlwain Mobility Solutions to install our Vertical Platform Lift on the back deck of our 2-story home. The team did a great job, completed the project in a timely manner and cleaned up all debris before leaving. They also gave us detailed instructions on how to operate the lift, and even tips & tricks on maintenance items. I highly recommend McIlwain Mobility Solutions for any mobility items (such as wheel chairs, scooters etc.) or accessibility needs (such as VPL or stairlifts).
I needed grab bars for my bathtub shower combination. During the initial phone call I received helpful information and all of my questions were answered. After texting pictures I received a prompt call back with pricing and an appointment. Jack called to on his way, arrived on time and did a professional job installing 2 grab bars. He came with all the equipment needed and explained the process of installing the bars. The bars were installed on a tile wall. He is also well versed on the proper height based on his experience which I appreciated. He also explained to me why my idea for a hand rail on my back step wouldn't work. it sounded good to me but that is why you hire a professional not only for installation but guidance as well. I highly recommend this company and will use them again if any other mobility issues come up in the future.
Chris installed a stair lift for my mother. He did a wonderfull job and made sure that we all understood how the equipment worked, explained the safety features, and reviewed power outage tips etc before he left. He was professional, tidy, and truely listens to the needs of his clients. I would recommend Chris to anyone who has medical restrictions that require assistive devices. Susanne
My parents have a Savaria stairlift that wasn't working. Couldn't find much help online so tried disassembling to find batteries. Got myself in a little trouble so called Savaria and they directed me to Mcilwain. Chris Mcilwain was extremely helpful and patient. He sent me an installation manual which was helpful. He texted me photos related to my specific problem. I can't say enough about the customer service Chris provided. Selma in the office was super nice as well. I was not a paying customer so they did not have a lot of incentive to take their time and knowledge to help me, but they did. I would do business with this company anytime. Thanks Chris !
Best place in town. Friendly staff and very helpful. Feels like family. My sister loves her lift that was put in van today now she is happy. Thanks to all the staff great job. Will send friends your way.
These guys are the best around. I needed a wheelchair lift for my truck so I emailed several places in the area and Chris from Mcilwain got back to me the very same day, meanwhile I didn't hear back from the bigger places till weeks later. The work they do is top notch and very professional. Highly recommended!
I was having trouble finding a mobility device to get to and from the Sacramento Convention Center. Chris at McIlwain Mobility searched other vendors on my behalf to find a device that would work for me, and he found a company that meets my needs. I wish I could give Chris and his company more stars. Thank you, Chris, for going above and beyond to assist me.
Chris, Hey I don’t know if I ever told you my outcome with my Humancare Roomer S. Human care reached out to the company that sold it to me and that never could figure out what was wrong with it. Then Human care sent me a loaner lift while I sent my unit in for them to inspect. They discovered it was defective. They gave me an option of keeping the loaner. The company I bought it through confirmed I have had issues since day one. Human Care then sent me a brand new Roomer instead of a refurbished. So far so good with my new lift. Thank you so much for ALL your help with this. We really appreciate your caring policy. It’s great to deal with someone that is more interested in helping people than making a quick dollar.
Excellent accessibility team! Did a beautiful job on making our home more accessible for our son and us as his caregivers.
This company is so inspiring! Helping people who need it the most. Professional and great service. Their projects and work look amazing! Check them out!
You both were so very kind and empathetic to me when you came to install the chair climbers. Thank you again so very much. You were and are blessings. And thank you for your good wishes and offers of help. I wish you much success in your ventures, and good health, happiness, and peace to your families also. With much appreciation, Myrna
“Arthritis in my knees limited my ability to climb my own stairs. I would only use them twice a day, once in the morning to come downstairs and once at night to go to bed. My husband Jay and I thought about moving, but really love our house and did not want to move. McIlwain Mobility came to our house and evaluated our stairs and gave us a quote in writing. After checking into their prices, we had Chris return to answer questions we had in regards to the stairlift and installation. His no pressure professional attitude won us over. He delivered what he promised and I love the freedom to go up and down my stairs anytime I want to.”
“My son was concerned that the steps in my condo were becoming a problem for me and insisted that I look into installing a stairlift to make them easier to deal with. My State Farm Agent recommended McIlwain Mobility Service to evaluate my needs. They were prompt, courteous during the evaluation and I felt comfortable with their no pressure sales approach. Mel and Chris were prompt and careful during the installation and left my place as clean as they found it. I’m really glad that I had them installed. My condo has the kitchen on the upper level and the stairlift makes getting groceries upstairs a breeze. I can take 3 bags at a time and ride too! “
Thanks again for helping David with his car seat. I'm sure he will enjoy being able to drive his car again. He has been grounded for so long. Take care & God bless
Thank you for the generous donation to the "Marsha and Donna vacation fund". Honestly, we were expecting See's candy. Thanks again, Marsha
Thank you so much for your exceptional service on the road to my recovery! It was great to find a business that truly cares about people, Most sincerely, Patricia K
I know that this thank you is long overdue, however, when you brought that big piece of metal to go over my gutter area, you gave me the freedom to come and go! What a difference that act of kindness made for me!! Thank you so much!! My surgery was very successful (total knee replacement) and my pain is gone!! Although I wasn't able to get a lift on my car I will keep your name on my refrigerator for a possible future job. God Bless!
April 2018 for me and my wife -whom is disabled, but can transfer to front passenger car seat. Chris and Team helped select better option to install the Bruno Joey chair lift https://www.bruno.com/products-buckets/2470/joey. Love it! Only takes 25 seconds to bring out/ in the chair. Still room to put folding manual chair next to it and have all 2nd row seats, can remove one seat to put my Mt bike inside (till I get a hitch installed on van for rack/towing). Tech's did a great/clean job mounting it in the back of 2017 Sienna over the third row stow away seats. Only one small hole drilled for power, so you can remove it later and sell the van. Brackets for Joey mount to the 3rd row floor U-hooks so its super secure. God forbid get into front auto impact accident, BUT nor worries that chair will not be flying forward. A little cheaper than the arm type lift, more secure and still loose the 3rd row seats. Way better than my initial attempt to save money with a manual mounted ramp inline of 2nd row. I would have to remove 2nd row seats and no easy task for passengers to get to 3rd row seat, front driver or passenger seats could not go all the way back, or recline down. We live in San Jose and the reason drove all the way to Sacramento was only place to get Roll-Away ramp. When there to get installed I saw my best plans were not going to work out. We returned it less shipping cost I covered, ordered the Joey and 2-weeks later went back and in 4 hours was install and Golden! I really don't use Yelp any more, but ping me if you have questions if it helps you and their business grow.
Wow! I said to my husband after hanging up the phone following my conversation with Chris. He went above and beyond! I have never written a testimonial for any company before, but this one deserves recognition! I had been searching the web for information about the Milford Person Lift when the McIlwain website came up as a dealer for this product. Finding no local websites, I called and left a voice message with my inquiry and call back number. That very evening, knowing I was out of his service area by my area code, Chris returned my call. He went on to explain in a friendly tone that it would be best for me to purchase the lift from a local dealer because of the installation involved. In my experience with most salespeople, our conversation would have ended there - but not this time! Chris went on to answer my many questions, offering valuable information and insight into this product all while knowing he was not going to get the sale! What a rare and heartwarming experience! I also noted that it was after business hours and Chris was not even at his office! As if that was not enough, he offered that I feel free to call him back if I had any further questions or concerns after finding a dealer in Wisconsin. Chris, if I lived in the Sacramento area, you would definitely have my business! Thank you for being so helpful and truly valuing me above the sale!
